As the waters recede and the flooded area becomes approachable, our team of professional Flood Certified adjusters move in to assess the claim. They are not only trained to understand the complex nature but also the unique situation each claim presents. We work swiftly and with diligence under the guidelines as provided by the National Flood Insurance Program.

It is well known that flood can occur anywhere even outside the flood zones; it is the most common and widespread disaster after Fire. The adjusting of flood claims is made more difficult due to the nature of flood damage and the interpretation of policy coverage by the insured. 'Satisfying the insured while mitigating your loss expense' is our number one goal.

Efficient Technology

Over the years Mariposa Insurance Services has invested in technology to make the most efficient use of systems for end-to-end processing of claims - assignment to closing. As soon as the claim is initiated Mariposa adjusters are notified and they move quickly taking full advantage of our system to receive claim assignments and important policy information needed to begin the adjustment process. The Mariposa management team realizes that during and after the flood having good adjusters and managers is great but not worth much if they cannot do their work due to infrastructure disruptions (power, connectivity etc.) The Mariposa Emergency and Recovery Vehicle (MERV) provides a distinct advantage to our adjusters with mobile office space, satellite and Wi-Fi connectivity on location using its own power generation. With MERV the adjusters can follow the storms and floods, inspect the damage, providing the insured and the carrier with a quick turnaround.
